The Silky Super Accel 210-7.5 is a saw that makes cutting even the toughest branches a breeze.
Super Acc el is a folding hand saw from the Japanese brand Silky. It has been created on the basis of a centuries-old tradition of manufacturing reliable cutting tools and modern technology. Thanks to this combination, Silky tools achieve high strength and sharpness, resulting in high cutting efficiency.
The blade of the Silky Super Accel 210-7,5 is made of high carbon steel and its shape is precisely laser cut. The surface of the saw is chrome plated, which prevents rusting and protects it from harmful external influences. The main advantages of the Super Accel saw are the quadruple ground teeth of the blade and the ergonomic handle. To prevent the teeth from breaking, hardening was used to harden only the edges of the teeth, while the rest of the teeth are soft and flexible. Precision hourglass-shaped grinding prevents the saw from jamming while cutting.
The Super Accel 210-7,5 hand saw is equipped with a 210mm saw blade with 7,5 teeth for 30mm blade length. The saw is folded so that the sharp teeth are hidden in the handle. This allows the tool to be safely carried in a backpack or tool bag.
Technology:
Chromed finish
The chrome plating makes the blade surface extremely hard and durable, while reducing friction and extending the life of the blade. In addition, chrome plating protects the blade from corrosion and resin. Before applying the chrome plating, Silky polishes the blade to a silky smooth finish. This allows the blade to encounter even less resistance from the wood when cutting.
Electro-pulse hardening
The tips of the teeth are heated to a very high temperature for a fraction of a second. Because only the tip (or in other words, the cutting part) of the tooth is heated, the rest of the tooth retains not only its cutting quality but also its flexibility. Induction-hardened teeth have three times longer life than untreated teeth. They cannot be ground and you can tell by the black tips of the teeth.
Mirai-Me teeth
The razor-sharp teeth are precisely ground into the blade, each with 3 blades, resulting in an extremely smooth surface. For optimum sawdust removal, every so many teeth (depending on the saw model) are ground outwards. This unrivalled patented MIRAI-ME technology allows the saw to be used for 3 types of cutting: cross-cutting (perpendicular to the grain direction), rip-cutting (parallel to the grain direction) and mitre-cutting. For pruning work, the smooth saw cut allows the tree wound to be easily regrown. In joinery, the smooth saw cut provides an excellent finish so that no sanding is required.
Misaligned teeth
The teeth are precisely ground into the blade, each with 4 cutting surfaces. The teeth are "unfolded" so that the cutting surface cuts directly into the wood, destroying approximately 50% fewer wood cells. The blades are ground in two circles: the lower part of the blade (near the teeth) is the thickest, the upper part is slightly thinner and the blade in the middle is the thinnest. This design has several advantages: it has less energy consumption for cutting, effortlessly removes sawdust (it does not get stuck in the wood), very clean cut - no breaking or tearing of the wood, produces a very precise and smooth cut.
Rubber handle GOM
The GOM rubber handle absorbs vibrations when cutting and provides excellent grip even when wet or wearing gloves. In addition, this handle always provides comfortable warmth, even at extremely low temperatures.
