The primary purpose of this retrieve is to prepare the dog to carry furry game. The dog gradually increases the load and gets ready to carry game, but alsohe's used to keeping the fur itself in his mouth. S this is a problem for some dogs.

We choose the weight of the fur port according to the age of the dog, but also according to the size of the breed.for example, a dachshund starts at 250g and a retriever at 500g. In case the adult dog is just starting to fetch, do not overload him unnecessarily, so that this does not cause resistance during training. We set each new discipline so that the dog understands it as easily as possible, and then onlywe increase the difficulty of the task.

The advantage of furry retrieves is that we don't have to start training immediately from game and if our mistake creates a training problem,there will be no resistance to game. It is also important that we teach the hunting dog discipline in relation to the coat and thus to the game itself.

We can apply the scent of game to the retrieve and use a string to pull the retrieve and teach the dog to track and retrieve game. S we also start on easy terrain (path) and then after achieving the desired result we choose more difficult terrain. During this discipline the dog should not see the terrain that is intended for training. He is following the trail.
